EagleMUNC VIII is a three-day Model United Nations conference located at the Westin Copley Place Hotel in the heart of Boston, Massachusetts taking place from March 20th, 2020 to March 22nd, 2020. EagleMUNC takes pride in being one of the most innovative conferences on the Model United Nations circuit.
Every year at EagleMUNC, theme is chosen for all committees. This year, the theme is “Building a Brighter Future.” In the world we live in we are used to exploring only one side of the conflicts of our past and present. Nonetheless, we must seek to understand everyone’s perspectives, not only the ones that are comfortable for us to do so. In a variety of settings and time-periods, the committees challenge delegates to make choices about their committee paths during times of crisis. Delegates may choose to pursue tradition, revolution, or evolve into something unseen by history.
At EagleMUNC, the conference is run based on a "40-hour simulation." Every delegate is expected to be in character for the entire conference. Delegates will often be pulled out of committee to write press releases or be asked to participate in an unscheduled late-night committee session to address pressing issues. We believe that the 40 hour simulation allows us to get as close to real world politics as possible. Delegates should be prepared for anything. In order to accomplish this, EagleMUNC has an unparalleled 5:1 delegate-to-staff ratio to ensure that every delegate is receiving the constant attention that they deserve.
